Propaganda
maps are maps created with the goal of achieving a result similar to
traditional propaganda; the amp can be falsified or even created using
subjectivity with the goal of persuasion. This is a poster that portrays
Churchill as a demonic octopus, who is attempting to seize Africa and the
Middle East but his attempts are being thwarted. There are several methods to
produce cartographic propaganda, for example, scale and generalization, map
projection, and symbolism. This poster uses symbolism; symbols are used in maps
to complement map scale and projection by making visible the features, places,
and other locational information represented on a map.
