Bilateral Graph


Bilateral is defined as having two sides; arranged upon two sides; affecting two sides or two parties. A bilateral graph shows increases and decreases on the positive and negative side of a zero line or x-axis. The graph shown above is an example of a bilateral graph of soaring imports, trade deficits with China in clean energy products from 2006 to 2010. In this graphs it shows the exports and imports on the positive side and the trade balance on the negative. With this information we are able to see that the United States has been importing more clean energy products than exporting them in these years.
